The owners live in San Pedro and on the day they vacated the premises my wife and I asked them why they were going. They told us that the two biggest fixed costs they faced were fuel (petrol) and rent. They had approached the landlord with a view of extending the lease for a further two years if he was prepared to negotiate a discount; you can guess his reply! He had been " awkward " on a number of issues previously and told them to empty the shop that day! So we have yet another empty outlet for which the landlord is receiving no rent and which does nothing to attract new buisnesses.
